Frequently Asked Questions

Ketamine is a substance that can alter your state of consciousness and perception. It is in this altered state we realize the therapeutic benefits of ketamine.

Ketamine is a safe and trusted drug that has been used to induce general anesthesia for decades. Ketamine is also used in emergency rooms for severe agitation, delirium, and acute pain, especially in case of chronic pain or opioid-tolerant pain.

Ketamine is taken sublingually for therapy at a dosage recommended by the prescriber. Clients usually start at a low dosage that gradually increases with each session.

You will be made as comfortable as possible. Some report a sense of floating as the drug takes effect. Many feel peace and calm and dissociation from their body that culminates in a deep sense of spirituality and understanding. At higher dosages, clients report hallucinations.

Common side effects include nausea, anxiousness, headaches, dizziness, confusion, hallucinations, and vomiting.

After your initial consultation, a virtual appointment will be scheduled with a provider for a consultation. The prescription will be delivered directly to your home address (we are not able to take delivery for you). While waiting for your prescription, you will meet with a therapist to prepare for your first treatment. Each treatment is typically two-hours long. You will need a driver to take you home. Within four days, you will meet with your therapist again to integrate and process your experience. This step is vital to realizing the positive effects of the ketamine.

Ketamine affects multiple receptors and pathways in the body and brain to boost neural activity. The result is neuroplasticity where a patient is able to construct new synapses and break out of their old patterns of thinking. Negative thought patterns are reworked. Healthy thoughts and beneficial pathways are constructed.
